When I was a young child I was memorized by the teenage
adventures of Corry Mathews and Shawn Hunter, on a little tevelvison program
which was a part of ABCs TGIF. I miss the day when all that matters was a fresh
box of pizza from the local pizzeria, and to turn on the television for ABCs Friday
night lineup. It was all that mattered apart from the new power ranger toys,
and the Saturday morning cartoons that would follow that next day. When you
were a kid did you picture high school to be a fun experience, for some of you
things turned out different? But Boy Meets World a show which went along with
the concept of a boy getting to know to real world through life lessons from
his teacher/next door neighbor George Pheney played William Daniels, who started
in the graduate with Dustin Huffman. Shawn Hunter the cool friend with the
leather jacket, and good looks who came from the wrong side of the tracks, in a
trailer park with a alcoholic dad; as oppose to Corry and his more middle class
life. Shawn seem to struggle thought with his family issues, and oppose to
Corry, who if had family issues they were always worked out. However, Shawn
with his good looks had a way with the ladies, and had the balls to make a pic
nic in snow for one of his sweet hearts. Eric Corry’s older brother was the perfect
example of how being the younger or middle sibling can feel underwhelming. Eric
was the cool well-dressed older brother with a car, and would always be dating.
But Eric who wasn't very academic was always not doing so well in school. Eric
was the prime example of the consequences of what Pheney said would happen if
you didn't give everything your best. Eric wound up staying home after high
school, and his character became more focused on comic relief. Corry and Shawn always seemed to come out
learning a lot after each episode; however the show was the back drop for
something more than just life lessons. The show told the story not just of a
friend ship, and the bitter sweet relationship between student and teacher but
something else. The greatest love story since Romeo and Juliet, unfolded as the
romance between Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence blossomed into a passion of undying
love that would last a life time. They knew each other since they were kids,
they she kissed him against his locker in Junior High, and he traveled all the
day to Disney Land, to hold her in his arms and win her back. Were Corry and
Topanga a perfect example of the American relationship, with all the up, and
downs, flows, ad consequences. Yet as my generation comes of age, what has shown
like Boy Meets World taught us. Can one teacher make a difference in your life,
if you have one best friend are you pretty
set, you don't need to date four million girls, you need to be with one girl
that makes you feel like a million. Did Pheney teach you the true value of learning?
If you study and give things your best it will pay off. And most all that the
things you learn in school reach further than just the class room. Yet as my generation
grows old, a new generation has taken over. We all they know that Corry and
Topanga got married, and the show ended with the couple moving to New York.
Some yet to wonder what happened, and some think for it to be obvious. Girl
Meets World is set to premier on the Disney channel with Corry and Topanga as
parents. But my overall point is will this new show for the generation has the
same impact as the old did. Will Corry and Topanga daughter Riley is as fun to
watch. For the new generation maybe, if the shows is aiming and young girls.
There will always be an old generation, and can’t accept the new ideas and formula.
But one thing will always be certain when the new Girl Meets airs, that the
teaching of George Pheny, (whom I’m not sure is going to be in it) will always
live on, and that there will be a Corry Mathews and Shawn Hunter in all of us.

Who I am, What I am
Who I am I, what do i do, what is my purpose in life, as I approach the not so old age of 27 i ask myself this question. I have beeen judged a lot, some people try to wrap thier heads around the question who i am. Yet day after i question what my IQ is and try to forget about things such as high school and thing i regret. What can i say about my adult years, and yet again what can that people that have known and come to love me tell you. Day after i try to pick the pieces that were once shatterd. I am not youre average sports loving beer drinking kinda guy. Yet in time i know i will be defined for my charicter and not my actions. Many parts of life are hard to tell, mostly not even told at all. I sufferd to humilating job as a Target Cart Attendent from age 21 to 23, just many times before it was a painful reminder of my intelgence of the burdens it carrys, but were i am I now as oppose to the negatives. Not as time was lost yet a lot of time was spared but only for what i keep asking. After failing in the retail world i sufferd months of emplyment, i don't what that time peroid toward the end of my twenty third year has taught me, yet others who i cant mention and actions i do nott wish to speak of will tell you otherwise. You might even ask me what i was talking about.
So who im I?
I am writer, music artist, with my own can i add author to that, only myself can ask that. I also have my own You Tube Channel, for music movie reviews, and overall comedy. Ive been writing science fiction and fantasey since i as 15 even through the abition was over shadowed by failing academics, and myself beggning under stand the nature of my itelgence. Can i let this blog be the judge of my writing. You may be asking youreslf what is the point of this blog, what i am trying to say. Commitments to wriiting have grown differcultt since i became an adult, due to commitment in the job world and juggling friends in realtionships. So ived started this blog to help with me reach werei wana be in writting. I still like to write on paper as well. Toward to end of my high school i had written a lot over the span of five years. But when i wrote the words Newtron down on paper, i had a full blown novel before i even knew it. Ive jugling atleast four different story ideas. When i was young boy i came up with the idea for a kid super hero named Jump Buster, and the idea evolved in time. Ive recently been told to forget about, you created it when were young, you should thrown it out. Let it go. These words have brough me to tears. Only i can be the judge of this, then again so can the young man i met at comicon in 2010 when in line to meet Stan Lee. After many years i asked my brother to do a drawing of Jumpbuster. The drawing came out just how i imagained, however it the young man that decided too go with projct of turning it into a full blown comic. As i started a new job and this project began to take wind i felt my dreams were finally coming true, however once again the commitments to my job drained my engergy. Once the young man read the scripts The Jump Buster project hit a bump in the road. My script had to many plot holes, i did not make my charicters interesting enough, and after the summer of 2011 The JB project was scraped and i was hear broken. Im going to do a seprate blog about the JB project, far there is much to discuss.
After be friendly a local guitar player named Alex Rasmunsen after attending his show for his band HMP i began to question why i never learned to play a muscial intrument. I had obivously chosen writting as my writting as my path, but always wanted to express myself in a musical way. It wasnt until late 2010 my friend Jon Norman who i had met in my year working at Vanity Fair outlet, which was my first scsessful job started showing interest in Hip Hop, which would be were i would take my unlikely turn. One day when giving me a ride to work i began pick up on Jon rapping and i soon began to follow. When arriving home the follwing night i then wrote down my first song titled (Just Another Sad Song.) The song was filmed all the way to church, as a visual free style, and many soon followed. However, once poste to Face Book the song got negtive reviews. Over the course of 2011 i countuied free styling with Jon and creating videos. After pushing for over a year to record we finally recorded a song called Judge But after pushing and pushing no other songs were recorded.
To cut my loss for JB i began to work on the novel which i had been writting since high school, i also began to write a shorty versian. I submited two short storys to science fictio magazine as i had longed to do this since high school, and they were turned down.
In the summer of 2012 the day the day the Man of Steel teaser trailer was shown at comicon, Just Another Sad Song was finally recorded, and when I launched my You Tube channel the song got postive reviews.
After finally getting the song off the ground after a year, i wish my writting off the ground, and i hope this blog will help further those chances and me in my writting. Ive also been trying to get into photogphy please check my photopgphy folder on my Face Book. I am currently seeking a career in the culinary field but still wish to get my writting off the ground. I just bought some studio eqitment and hope to record some more songs.
I am a little fish in a big pound, however i am artist above all. Who am I. I am an artist trying to my work and my name out. I tell storys in anyway i can. I hope got the point of this blog, there will be more to come. ScottBlainePurchase@facebook.com
